Filipino soul singer Jaya has recently made headlines for her decision to ‘gong’ Shirley Fuentes in the celebrity champions edition of ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan.’

It can be recalled that Shirley performed ‘Luha,’ one of the hit songs of the rock band, Aegis.

However, KAMI learned that the said ‘gong’ incident prompted singer-actress Mystica to call Jaya out through a series of online posts.

Mystica’s posts led entertainment site, Crown Factor, to message Jaya through Twitter to which the soul singer simply responded, “Haha ok lang wag napo natin pansinin.”

As reported earlier by KAMI, Shirley Fuentes joined Tawag ng Tanghalan on It’s Showtime. She sang “Luha” by the band Aegis. However, the judges rejected her in the middle of her performance.

María Luisa Ramsey Kagahastian-Gotidoc, famously known as 'Jaya' in the showbiz industry, is a Filipina soul singer and record producer. She is currently one of the 'hurados' in It's Showtime's 'Tawag ng Tanghalan.'
