“Sabi ko sa kanila, kung ano, ipakulong niyo na lang po,” the barangay representative said.

Days before the mauling, the man had reportedly been seen several times carrying items believed to have been stolen.

According to the report, he was spotted the previous week walking through an alley in Barangay 100 while carrying an LPG stove.

An official said they were able to recover a cellphone from him following a theft complaint.

Despite the accusations against him, the alleged theft cases remain matters for authorities to investigate and determine through the proper legal process.

The suspect was eventually turned over to police so the appropriate complaint could be filed. GMA's report said authorities were still trying to obtain his statement regarding the allegations.
