Alice Guo, Wesley Guo, nasa Indonesia pa rin, ayon sa BI

- Alice Guo is still in Indonesia despite her sister Shiela Guo and Cassandra Ong having been arrested in the Philippines

- This was confirmed by the Bureau of Investigation (BI) on Friday

- The BI said that based on the counterpart of the country in Indonesia, it is confirmed that the dismissed Bamban mayor is still there

- Her brother, Wesley Guo, is also still in Indonesia

Alice Guo and her brother, Wesley Guo, are still in Indonesia.

This was confirmed by the BI on Friday.

On GMA's "Unang Balita," the spokesperson of BI, Dana Sandoval, said that based on the trackign of their counterpart in the country, the two Guos are still in Indonesia.

There was also no attempt to move Guo to another country.

“Sa tracking po ng ating counterpart doon, confirmed po nasa Indonesia pa po. Wala pa pong attempts ng paglipat o pag-transfer sa ibang bansa itong si former mayor Alice Guo," said Sandoval.

The other two companions of Alice, Sheila Guo and Cassandra Ong are already in the presence of authorities.

Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.

Recently, the Bureau of Immigration has confirmed that Alice Guo is now in Indonesia. According to GMA's report, the dismissed Bamban mayor arrived in the said country almost a month after her alleged departure from the Philippines. The spokesperson of BI, Dana Sandoval, mentioned that Guo allegedly traveled to Malaysia on July 16, and thereafter arrived in Indonesia from Singapore on August 18. The BI is also backtracking on the dismissed mayor's movements.

Earlier, Mayor Guo released an official statement following an order for her arrest by the senate. The suspended Bamban mayor cited "severe exhaustion" and "trauma" as the reasons why she has not attended the two senate hearings. She also addressed Senators Win Gatchalian and Risa Hontiveros in her statement, even asking if she was the country's biggest problem.
