According to Bianca, celebrating the anniversary of the revolution is not about having an allegiance to any political party.

She said that the EDSA Revolution anniversary celebration is about fighting against dictatorship and political abuse.

The EDSA Revolution, also known as the People’s Power Revolution, was a series of peaceful demonstrations in the Philippines in 1986 that led to the end of Ferdinand Marcos’s 20-year dictatorship and the restoration of democracy in the country.

“Hindi tungkol sa dilaw, pula o anumang kulay. Kundi tungkol sa pagsasama-sama ng mga Pilipino para wakasan ang diktaturya at pang-aabuso. Wag nating kalimutan ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng mga nauna sa atin, matuto tayo sa pagkakamali ng nakaraan. #NeverAgain #NeverForget #EDSA36,” Bianca posted on Facebook.

Bianca Gonzalez-Intal married basketball player, JC Intal, on December 4, 2014, in El Nido, Palawan. She is a host and a UNICEF supporter.
