Nora Aunor, the Superstar of Philippine cinema, has been laid to her final resting place.

She was surrounded by her loyal fans known as the 'Noranians,' along with her family and children Ian, Lotlot, Matet, Kenneth, and Kiko.

In a video posted by ABS-CBN News on YouTube, Lotlot and Matet De Leon were seen unable to hold back their tears during the emotional moment.

Nora Aunor passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 71.

They played Nora's version of "Handog." She was buried at the 'Libingan ng mga Bayani.'

During her wake, she was surrounded by people who loved her dearly, including some of the big stars in the industry.

Also present during her wake was her former loveteam Tirso Cruz III. They were the famous loveteam called 'Guy and Pip.'

It can be recalled that Nora Aunor continued working well into her seventies, most recently appearing in the 2024 television series Lilet Matias, Attorney-at-Law, and with a cameo in the stage musical Isang Himala. She starred in Mananambal (“The Healer”) last year.

Nora Aunor was a celebrated Filipino actress, singer, and producer. Known as the 'Superstar of Philippine cinema, she has earned critical acclaim for her powerful performances in films such as Himala, Bona, and The Flor Contemplacion Story. Her contributions to the arts were recognized in 2022 when she was named National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts. In 1975, Nora married fellow actor Christopher de Leon. They have one biological son, Ian de Leon, and adopted four children: Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth de Leon.

In a previous report by KAMI, Tirso Cruz III extended his condolences to the bereaved family of the Superstar, Nora Aunor. In his Instagram account, "Pip" also shared a short message to Nora Aunor, pointing out that her contributions to the industry will never be forgotten. It can be recalled that Tirso Cruz III was "Pip" of their famous loveteam "Guy and Pip," which started in the late 1960s until the 1980s. The Philippine cinema's Superstar passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 71.

Additionally, Tirso Cruz III was seen at the wake of the late Superstar of Philippine Cinema, Nora Aunor. He was among the veteran stars who came to see Nora Aunor for the last time. It can be recalled that Tirso Cruz III and Nora Aunor were in a loveteam before called 'Guy and Pip.' Also, just recently, the veteran actor shared a short but sweet message to the late actress on his Instagram account, saying Nora Aunor's contributions to the industry will always be remembered.
