Candy recently revisited her social media comment to a mother who appeared overwhelmed by the demands of caring for her child. During her appearance on Unang Hirit, she explained that she immediately understood the woman’s exhaustion.
"I can empathize na nakakapagod. Talaga naman nakakapagod, 'di ba? Lahat naman tayo napapagod biglang mga nanay. Actually, kahit hindi ka nanay, nakakapagod. Bilang tao, nakakapagod," Candy said.
She recalled seeing the post just before going to sleep and said her main message was for the mother to take a break without giving up.

"So patulog na kasi ako noong nabasa ko yun, e. Ang tanging nasabi ko na lang talaga, e, magpahinga ka. Magpahinga ka, matulog ka, pero 'di ka puwedeng sumuko. Ganun lang talaga 'yon."
Candy also pushed back against the idea that mothers should feel guilty whenever they rest. She believes taking time to recharge can actually help parents continue caring for their children.
She emphasized that parents who constantly push themselves despite exhaustion may eventually have nothing left to give.
Candy also opened up about dealing with her son Quentin’s tantrums. She said she sometimes lets him calm down on his own, uses humor when possible, or simply observes until she understands what to do.
During particularly difficult moments, Candy said she also gives both herself and Quentin some space.
"Binubuntong-hininga ko o papasok ako sa loob ng kwarto. Most of the time, ganoon, lalo na kapag nagwawala siya. Para ma-process niya kasi medyo matagal 'yung proseso, e. Para ma-realize nila na mali yung ginagawa nila," she explained.
Despite the challenges, Candy said her experiences with Quentin have taught her valuable lessons. She also encouraged parents to find humor even in difficult moments.
"You look at the other side of everything. You look at the other side of everything, and you can see something funny about everything you do," she added.
