Viy Cortez recently gave followers an honest glimpse into how she pushed through when her eldest son fell ill.

Taking to her verified Instagram account @viycortez, the YouTube star and businesswoman shared a smiling photo of her young boy, Kidlat, resting in a hospital bed with an IV line attached to his arm. Despite being confined, the little boy flashed a cheerful, radiant grin.

In her caption, Viy detailed her condition before deciding to step out for her work responsibilities:

"Na-admit si kuya, and sabi ko na kapag 24 hours na siyang walang lagnat at okay na ang condition niya, I'll attend my commitments for today. At sa bait ng Panginoon, wala na siyang lagnat at okay na rin si kuya. 🙏🏼💙 Kaya nakapunta ako sa mga commitments ko today."

Viy made sure to thank the medical team attending to her son, as well as her husband, Cong Velasquez, who stepped up as the primary caretaker while she attended meetings:

"Salamat sa mga nurse at doctor na nagaalaga sa kidlating. At sa asawa ko @thecongtv na taga alaga ngayon 🥰"

Describing her packed day, she recounted rushing back and forth between the hospital room and work events:

"Puyat, sa ospital na nag-aayos at nakikipag-meeting, then from one event to another. After one event, dumaan muna ako kay Kidlat para ibigay yung mga toys na binili ko for him. Pinaliguan ko na rin siya dahil natanggal ang IV niya sa kulit niya, parang walang sakit! 🥰 Tapos ayun, alis ulit for my next commitment."

Despite the physical exhaustion, Viy shared that the joy of both motherhood and her passions keeps her moving forward without complaints:

"Pero parang walang pagod. Siguro ganun talaga kapag mahal mo yung ginagawa mo. being a mom and doing the work that I love. 🤍 Thank You, Lord, for giving me the strength to be a mom and still show up for the things I've committed to. 🙏🏼"
