Sunshine Garcia shared practical advice for couples who want to get married despite not having enough savings, emphasizing the importance of being financially prepared before starting married life.

The SexBomb Girls member gave her thoughts during the September 19 episode of GMA Comedy’s original game show The People Have Spoken. She and fellow SexBomb Girls member Aira Bermudez, collectively representing Team AiShine, faced Team GlocYeng, composed of The Voice Kids coaches Gloc-9 and Yeng Constantino.
The People were asked what they would do if their partner wanted to get married even though they did not have enough money.
For Team AiShine, the predicted answer was “wala; puwede siyang maghintay,” reflecting the idea that marriage could be postponed until the couple was more financially prepared.

Sunshine explained that couples should not underestimate the expenses that come with getting married, even when they plan to have a simple ceremony.
“Minsan, kahit sabihin mong simpleng wedding lang 'yan, gumagastos ka pa rin. Might as well na parang mag-ipon muna kayo ng konti. Kahit simpleng wedding lang 'yan gagawin ninyo, kailangan meron pa rin kayong matitirang (pera),” Sunshine said.
She further clarified that preparing for marriage does not mean spending all of the couple's available money on the wedding.
“Hindi ibig sabihin na uubusin n'yo 'yung pera n'yo. So kung wala kayong budget, 'wag na muna at kailangan pareho kayong ready sa lahat ng bagay. Kasi after ng wedding, mahal magkaroon ng pamilya talaga lalo na kapag gusto n'yo magkaroon ng anak.”
Sunshine's advice focused not only on the wedding itself but also on the financial responsibilities that can follow once a couple begins building a family.
Yeng, however, offered a different perspective. Representing Team GlocYeng, she expressed support for couples who choose to have a simple wedding instead of waiting until both partners have already achieved financial success.
“Naniniwala ako na minsan talagang gusto mo na makasama 'yung taong minamahal mo. A lot of times 'yung mga tao, 'di ba, parang they wait so long na mag-succeed muna 'yung both parties para gawin 'yung wedding,” Yeng explained.
For Yeng, couples do not necessarily have to wait for everything to be perfect before sharing an important milestone together.
“Pero actually, puwede n'yo nang i-share 'yung the moment tapos in the process, saka n'yo ipagtrabahuhan 'yung tagumpay. It's gonna work out, believe me. It's gonna work out, come on.”
The contrasting perspectives from Sunshine and Yeng highlighted two different approaches to marriage preparation: prioritizing financial readiness before tying the knot and starting life together while continuing to work toward greater financial stability.
Sunshine Garcia is a Filipino dancer, actress, and comedienne who first rose to fame as a member of the popular dance group the SexBomb Girls. She has since expanded her career into television comedy, starring in shows such as Banana Split and Banana Nite.

Rochelle appeared on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” alongside other members of the group to promote their new single “Mama Mama.” During the interview, she highlighted the importance of respect, discipline, and unity among the members. The issue had previously drawn attention following Jopay’s absence from the “Get Get Aw Concert: The Finale.”
Meanwhile, Aira Bermudez came to the defense of SexBomb Girls leader Rochelle Pangilinan, emphasizing the sacrifices she has made for the group. Aira explained that Rochelle’s strictness toward the members comes from her dedication and concern for the group. She also highlighted the effort Rochelle continues to put into keeping the group together. Rochelle had previously addressed the absence of some members from the “Mama Mama” project.
