Rayver Cruz recently recalled how his protective side came out when his girlfriend, Julie, once did a calendar photoshoot.

During a past guest appearance on “Your Honor,” the actor admitted that he could not help but check on the progress of Julie’s shoot, despite insisting that he was not a jealous boyfriend.
“Hindi ako seloso. Pero nu’ng nag-pictorial siya [para sa calendar] ‘di ko mapigilan. Maya’t maya tsini-check ko. Nag-calendar siya,” Rayver said in an interview with "Your Honor."
Rayver explained that calendar covers were not new to him, as some of his former girlfriends had also appeared in magazines. He said he had been accustomed to seeing his previous partners take on similar projects.

“Doon ako natatawa. Kasi sanay naman ako. Okay lang naman na sabihin. ‘Yung mga ex ko naman talaga... May mga ganu'n silang eksena. May mga magazine cover sila,” Rayver narrated.
Rayver said things felt different when it came to Julie’s calendar pictorial. Instead of simply letting the shoot happen, he found himself checking in with her handler, Dianne Bernardo, and asking to see the photos taken during the session.
“Pero, nu’ng kay Julie kasi, parang hindi ako sanay na parang, kinukulit ko 'yung handler, si Ate Dianne (Bernardo) 'yung handler niya. Ate Dianne, kamusta 'yung pictorial? Tingin naman 'yung mga picture,’” he said.
Once the photos were sent, Rayver admitted that he even surprisingly started giving his own opinions about some of the images and its results. His reaction became so involved that he jokingly described himself as acting like Julie’s manager, noting everything about his girlfriend's shoot.
Rayver also revealed that he asked about the people involved in the pictorial, including how many men were present during the shoot.
Despite his concerns, the actor said he deliberately avoided making Julie feel that he was interfering with her professional work. Instead, he chose to communicate his concerns through her handler while the pictorial was happening.
“Kaya dumadaan ako sa handler kasi ayoko isipin na ‘Ano ba naman ‘to.’ Ayoko rin kasi na nangingialam sa work,” he added.
It was only after the shoot that Rayver told Julie about his worries. According to the actor, Julie did not appear bothered by his reaction and simply laughed about it.
“Wala, tumatawa lang siya,” Rayver said to Julie's comment.
