Nadine Lustre, a Filipina actress, recently faced a disturbing incident online when a basher sent her a message wishing harm upon her after she made headlines for her recent take on politics.

The malicious comment stated, "Sana ma-r*pe ka ng adik" which prompted Nadine to share a screenshot of this message on her official Instagram page, with netizens feeling alarmed online.

On the photo-sharing app, she wrote the note, "One of the many that did not pass the vibe check."

In response to this alarming threat, Nadine's boyfriend, Christophe Bariou, took to social media to defend her and aired a question for his followers on the app regarding the saddening situation.

He reposted the actress's now-viral screenshot and added, "Imagine if your girlfriend, wife, sister, mother, or daughter were publicly threatened with r*pe simply for expressing her opinion."

This incident has sparked discussions online with fans rallying behind the award-winning actress and condemning the basher's comment and expressing support for Nadine as well.

It is worth noting, however, that Nadine has made headlines in the past for sharing her strong opinion on certain issues, whether it be about politics or other social issues about the world.

Previously, the award-winning star went viral after sharing a 'collect them all' banner following former President Rodrigo Duterte's arrest and him eventually flying to The Hague to face the ICC.
