Jesus Falcis, pinost resibo na umano'y nagpapakitang di binigyan Darryl Yap kopya ng script ang TVJ
- Atty. Jesus Falcis has posted a couple of screenshots of comments made by Director Darryl Yap on his socmed account
- According to Atty. Falcis, the screenshots show Darryl neither informed, nor gave the TROPP script to TVJ
- This is contrary to the claim made by Darryl’s lawyer, Atty. Raymond Fortun, that the director gave a copy of the TROPP script to “one of the siblings of the petitioner”
- It can be recalled that Vic Sotto filed a petition for Writ of Habeas Data in an attempt to protect his privacy, with the petition now being addressed by the camp of Direk Darryl

Atty. Jesus Falcis recently posted a series of screenshots showing comments made by Director Darryl Yap addressing questions as to whether he reached out to the Sotto camp or made them aware of the #TROPP script.

In one of the screenshots, a netizen surmised that the director must have informed those involved in the movie, saying name-dropping is not allowed unless there is consent from the owner of the name, to which Direk Darryl replied in the negative.
“Bago naman gawin yan, malamang nagpaalam muna sa mga taong involved sa palabas, hindi pwedeng magdrop name ng hindi kinukuha ang consent ng may ari ng name,” the netizen surmised in the comments section
“Hindi po ako nagpaalam, may publishings at public document po,” Direk Darryl replied.

In another screenshot, a netizen asked the director if he consulted with the trio, perhaps referring to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon, collectively known as TVJ, to which Direk Darryl also replied in the negative.
“Direk, just curious po - did you consult with the trio before writing the script, if only to eliminate any doubts of bias?” the netizen asked.
“I did not. Sorry,” Direk Darryl replied.

According to Atty. Falcis, while Atty. Fortun made a good move in filing a motion to consolidate cases filed by the petitioner-plaintiff, Vic Sotto, he allegedly made one step backward in claiming Vic or his siblings already have a copy of the #TROPP.
“One step forward, one step backward etong si Atty. Raymond Fortun,” Atty. Falcis wrote in his Facebook post containing the screenshots of the comments of Direk Darryl.
“Good move yung pag consolidate nya ng criminal case for Cyber Libel sa Petition for Writ of Habeas Data. Ang savage nya nung sinabi nyang dapat alam daw ni Atty. Buko Dela Cruz yung rules - na pag may criminal case filed, consolidated dapat duon yung pag request ng writ of habeas data through a motion,” he further said.
😅” Atty. Falcis said.
Darryl Yap is a Filipino filmmaker, director, and screenwriter known for producing controversial films and online content. He is behind VinCentiments, a social media platform that produces short films and viral videos that often deal with issues of life, society, and politics.
Earlier in an ambush interview by ABS-CBN News, Atty. Fortun said his client sent a copy of the script of the movie #TROPP to one of the siblings of the petitioner, meaning Vic Sotto. It can be recalled that the name of Vic was mentioned in the teaser trailer of the controversial movie, prompting him to file 19 counts of cyberlibel against Direk Darryl. Bossing Vic also asked the court to have all the promotional materials of the movie removed from all platforms, though the court has yet to render a decision on this motion.
Meanwhile, Direk Darryl has addressed the comment of a netizen saying he changed the title of his new movie about Pepsi Paloma. It can be recalled that Darryl’s movie, #TROPP, became controversial because of a word in the title. The director said there were just some movie houses who said they cannot include said word in case they’re going to show it in their place. He also said that no matter what the title of the movie will be, whether a word would be removed or added, it would still have the same drive and that is the truth.
