The issue gained attention after photos of Josh with actress Yumi Garcia in Bangkok, Thailand circulated online. Some netizens connected the photos to the end of Josh and Bianca’s relationship and raised questions about whether Yumi had been involved.

During an interview with Boy Abunda on his YouTube channel, Josh addressed the controversy and said he wanted to make his statement clear, particularly because he considered the interview his final discussion of the matter.

“So first of all, Tito Boy, for all the things that they are saying that is not true on the internet, I can't open up a thousand of conversations about it, but there's only one fact that I have to state and that is the fact that I didn't cheat in this conversation,” he began.

Josh emphasized that he and Bianca had already ended their relationship in May and described their separation as something they mutually understood.

“Gusto ko pong linawin na I ended our relationship properly,” he maintained.

According to Josh, their relationship lasted around a year and a half after they first met through social media. He explained that there was no separate reason behind their breakup apart from the relationship itself.

He also shared his perspective on why people sometimes remain in relationships even when they are no longer working. For Josh, prolonging a relationship that has already reached its end can eventually create resentment.

“For me po kasi, Tito Boy, ang natutunan ko talaga sa relationship is where people make mistakes is from the start and the finish. From the start, guys, they are trying to sell themselves too much and then eventually they can't sustain it. And in the end they stay even though they're not serving their relationship anymore and the cost of that [is] resentment and they cheat. Ako po, Tito Boy, I ended it properly.”

When Boy directly asked whether Josh and Bianca had mutually understood their decision to separate, the businessman confirmed that they had.

He was also asked if there was no third party involved in their breakup, including Yumi. Josh responded:

“Wala po.”

Josh further maintained that Bianca knew and understood the circumstances surrounding their separation.

“There's no other reason but us...Klaro din po ito sa kanya. And I know alam niya po ito,” Josh maintained.

After his Bangkok photos with Yumi began circulating, Josh said he also spoke with Bianca. He explained that he wanted to make sure she would not be unfairly dragged into the controversy.

“Because nadadamay po siya, and para sa akin po that's unfair for her,” Josh said.

Josh then provided context about his Bangkok trip. He said he had traveled to Thailand alone to attend an Artificial Intelligence workshop connected to his business.

Yumi, meanwhile, was already in Bangkok with her friends. Josh said a friend who was also in the city invited them to spend time together. He added that he and Yumi had already known each other as influencers before their meeting in Bangkok.

“Sa internet talaga, may makasama ka lang, [they will already connect] the dots before asking if the dots were even connected. Para sakin po kasi hindi ko naman sila masisi kasi [sakto sa] timing din naman po and ‘yung issue din ni Yumi is very timely.”

Josh stressed that his interaction with Yumi should not be interpreted as evidence of cheating or a romantic involvement.

“Pero for me kasi, Tito Boy, I don't usually judge people na I have nothing to do with. Nagkita kami dun and that's it. Yung lang po talaga yun. Gusto ko lang din po sabihin na I don't appreciate cheating. I don't appreciate home wrecking whether it's made by a man or a woman and if there are accusations about a person's past, if I wasn't involved, then it's not my story to tell,” he continued.

He also clarified that his Bangkok encounter with Yumi was only the second time they had seen each other. Their first meeting happened during Josh’s birthday celebration.

As for Yumi’s personal life, Josh said he was not aware of her current relationship status. He likewise denied that he was courting the actress or that they were romantically involved.

Josh said being single also gives him the freedom to meet people and form new friendships without automatically meaning there is a romantic connection.

“Also, I’m single. And being single po means [that] I can make new friends, I can meet new people, or be seen with a person.“

He acknowledged that he cannot control how people interpret photos or interactions posted online.

”And ‘yung social media po of course, I can’t control that. But what I can control is my honesty with the people that are actually involved in my life,” he expressed.

When Boy asked whether he had plans to court Yumi, Josh made it clear that pursuing a relationship is not currently among his priorities.

“I’m not really looking for a relationship right now because, as I say, it’s not my priority. I’m not actively looking po for a relationship.”

For now, Josh said his focus remains on his responsibilities as a businessman. Should he eventually decide to enter another relationship, he said he would want a partner who understands the demands that come with his career.
