Angelu De Leon hit back at the bashers of her birthday community pantry. She took to her Facebook account and shared screenshots showing negative remarks on her initiative.

As seen in the screenshots, the bashers criticized the vegetables that Angelu distributed to a community.
They also lambasted the incumbent councilor of Pasig City for promoting “Pulang Araw,” in which she is among the cast, while distributing the goods.

In her post, actress-politician clarified that the relief goods came from her own pocket that’s why is wasn’t grand.
“Hi. I do my yearly birthday community pantry as a way of giving back and being grateful to my constituents. Personal ko po ito.”
“Nahiya naman ako na hindi ito sapat para sayo. Pero I guess hindi ka naman taga-Pasig.”
She went on to mention why she promoted the Kapuso drama war series.
“I will promote Pulang Araw because I am proud of our show.”
She further explained, “Meron pa hong putol na upo kasi hindi ko kaya mag bigay ng buo. Pinuputol namin para meron ang lahat. May talong, ampalaya at okra din.”
“Ang mahal na pala talaga ng gulay ngayon. Hindi talaga aabot ang 64 pesos sa isang masustansyang meal per day,” Angelu added.
Maria Luisa Angela Martinez de Leon-Rivera, more popularly known as Angelu de Leon, is a Pinay actress and politician. She starred in the kiddie gag show “AngTV,” which aired on ABS-CBN. She shared the limelight with Rica Peralejo, Jolina Magdangal, and Claudine Barretto.
In a previous report, Angelu shared a quote about forgiveness. In the quote that the actress-politician posted on her socmed account, she talked about forgiveness as grace granted by the Divine. The quote also talks about the Divine knowing what to “forgive faster than others can apologize.”
Earlier, Angelu's name was dragged into Claudine's viral moment during the 20th wedding anniversary party of her friend Gladys and Christopher Roxas. While speaking onstage, Claudine revealed that she is willing to have a reunion project with Gladys and Judy Ann Santos but not with Angelu De Leon. Gladys was visibly shocked after hearing Claudine’s statement. According to Claudine, she was just being honest, adding that she is “maldita” and not “suplada.”
