Taking to his Instagram account @vaughnic, Vaughn opened up about the heartbreak of letting go of the workplace he called home for nearly two decades:

"It is an immeasurable pain to accept that I am one of the 200 employees to be retrenched. It is super painful, but I am forever grateful for 17 fruitful and challenging years with ABS-CBN. This came as a surprise, so I don’t have any backup plans right now..."

Despite the shock, Vaughn maintained pride in his abilities while humbly appealing to industry peers:

"Sana po ay i-hire ninyo ako. I don’t know yet what I am going to do after leaving the company that I have considered home for the last two decades. This heavy experience for me is definitely not a question of my worth, because I know what I am capable of, but rather a sad reality that I will soon no longer be in touch with the people whom I consider family—my Kapamilyas."

Alongside his caption, Vaughn shared a candid, emotional black-and-white video recording the exact moment he broke the news to his father. Grateful for the reassurance, Vaughn added in his post:

"Papa, thank you for the warmth of your love. This video will always be a reminder for us to move forward to a brighter future together."

Having worked closely with artists across major shows and promotions, Vaughn received an immediate wave of love and sympathy from network mainstays.
