The Philippine Bureau of Immigration recently released a statement about embattled Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.

In a report by the Inquirer, the statement of the Bureau came about after talks surfaced about the suspended local chief executive fleeing the country using a Chinese passport.
The spokesperson for the BI, Dana Sandoval, gave the statement.
In a post by the Philippine News Agency, Ms. Sandoval assured the public that the suspended Bamban Mayor’s name, as well as that of Guo Hua Ping, can be found in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin or ILBO.

“Both Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping’s names are included in the ILBO,” Ms. Sandoval stated.
When asked if the embattled mayor might have already left the Philippines using the “backdoor” way, the BI official said that question could be best answered by the Philipine Navy and the Philippine Coast Guard.
Meanwhile in a report by GMA News, some former students of a private school in Quezon City recalled having a classmate named Guo Hua Ping.
Some of these former students also presented a photo with a girl who resembled the embattled Bamban Mayor.
As of this writing, Mayor Guo’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
In a related news, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian revealed that there are existing threats on his life for investigating Alice Guo. The senator stated that he was informed by his staff of a video circulating online, which was a threat directed at him. Based on the video, the voice over stated that Alice Guo allegedly gave her "tauhan" P5 million each to silence both Gatchalian and Sen. Risa Hontiveros. Because of the video, Gatchalian said that it caused him to worry about his own safety and that of his family and staff.
Meanwhile, the detention facility designated for suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and her family was presented to the media. The room sits beside the Philippine National Police-Senate Security Unit. The air-conditioned room currently has three bunk beds, water dispenser, a bathroom, and sink. The Senate’s Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms assured that those who will be detained will find the room comfortable.
