The actor-turned-politician is the son of current Bacolod City Mayor and Brightlight Productions CEO Albee Benitez.
In her ‘open letter’, Sue extolled the qualities of Mayor Javi, whom she said is very hardworking.
“To my amazing boyfriend, I am incredibly proud of you. 1 year ago, you took on the role of Mayor,” Sue said in her letter.

“I didn’t realize how little I actually knew about you and have discovered so much of who you are through your calling,” she added.
The actress also said that she knows Javi as intelligent and idealistic, but it is the Mayor’s hard work, determination, and compassion that inspired her.
“I always knew you were intelligent and idealistic and I admired that about you, but it is your determination, hard work and compassion that inspires me,” the actress wrote.
“You always say there is so much work to do, and you get all giddy and excited instead of being scared and worried. Your positive mindset and confidence assure the people of your good intentions,” she further said.
Sue then reiterated her faith and belief in Javi, adding that she would always be at his side always.
“I want you to know that with all my heart, I BELIEVE IN YOU. Your State of the City Address is proof of your great leadership and how your vision bring positive changes to your community. You never fail to amaze me,” the actress said.
“Congratulations on this milestone, I will be by your side through it all. I can’t wait to witness and celebrate more of your achievements and accomplishments and watch you make an impact on the lives you touch. I love you so much, Toto Jav ,” Sue wrote.

Her first major role was as supporting cast member on the ABS-CBN remake of the TV drama Mula Sa Puso. She is also best known for her outstanding performance in her role with Zanjoe Marudo in The Broken Marriage Vow.

Recently, however, such speculations seem unfounded as Sue posted what could be her and Javi’s hands holding each other in full view of the setting sun, and on it was the caption “sunsets with my palangga.”
