Archie Alemania’s conviction for acts of lasciviousness involving actress Rita Daniela has been upheld by a court in Bacoor, Cavite, after his appeal was denied.

According to a report by GMA News Online, the Bacoor Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 116 affirmed the October 2025 ruling of the Bacoor Municipal Trial Court (MTC) in Cities Branch 2, which found the actor guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

The decision, dated August 3, 2026, was signed by Presiding Judge Persephone Meir B. Belena. A copy of the ruling was provided to GMA News Online by Rita’s camp.

The case stemmed from a complaint filed by Rita over an alleged incident that occurred on or about September 9, 2024, in Bacoor City. As stated in the court decision, Archie allegedly forcibly kissed and touched the actress without her will and consent. With the RTC affirming the lower court’s ruling, his conviction for acts of lasciviousness remains in place.

Archie Alemania is a Filipino actor, comedian, host, and dancer who gained prominence as a host on Studio 23's Wazzup Wazzup and as a long-time mainstay on the hit comedy sketch show Bubble Gang. Over his multi-decade career, he has appeared in numerous TV series and critically acclaimed films, including "Norte, the End of History" and "Heneral Luna."

Rita Daniela is a versatile performer recognized for her work as both an actress and a singer. She gained prominence through her projects with GMA Network, where she took on a variety of roles—from leading characters to antagonists—demonstrating her emotional range and dedication to her craft. One of her most notable performances was in "My Special Tatay," where she portrayed Aubrey alongside Ken Chan, earning praise for their compelling onscreen chemistry. Beyond acting, Daniela continues to pursue music and live performances. In October 2025, a Bacoor court found actor Archie Alemania guilty of acts of lasciviousness and sentenced him to up to one year in jail, along with an order to pay P40,000 in damages. Following the conviction, Rita Daniela’s lawyer said that justice had been served. The case stemmed from a 2024 car ride during which Alemania was accused of violating and disrespecting Daniela.

Rita Daniela then shared her reaction online after Archie Alemania was convicted of acts of lasciviousness. She said the court victory also represents victims who were silenced or felt afraid to come forward. Rita initially filed a complaint in October 2024, accusing Archie of harassment. The court later ruled in her favor, finding her testimony credible and supported by evidence.
