Joey De Leon’s recent cryptic post on Twitter has created a buzz in the social media grapevine.

In his post, he wrote the name of famous country singer Dolly Parton, along with the title of her song.

“Dolly Parton - 9 To 5,” the TV host and comedian’s tweet read.

He also included the YouTube link of the song performed by the famous country singer.

On seeing his tweet, netizens immediately began to speculate if Joey, other than just simply sharing the song of Dolly, is trying to deliver a message.

Some netizens speculated that the TV host and comedian might be referring to the future home of a show hosted by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey.

There were also some who wondered if Joey is trying to hint at the new home of “Eat Bulaga,” saying that the show started on RPN 9 and could end up on TV5, hence Dolly Parton’s song “9 to 5.”

Joey, apart from posting the song and its singer, however, did not give any more details whether he meant something with his post.

It can be recalled that Joey, along with Tito and Vic, announced their separation from the producer of “Eat Bulaga,” TAPE Inc, while the show was streaming live on social media.

After that, their co-hosts, along with the staff of “Eat Bulaga,” which include cameramen, marketing, and other personnel resigned en masse in a show of loyalty to Tito, Vic, and Joey, otherwise known as TVJ.

Eat Bulaga” is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.

In a recent Instagram post, Joey also posted what appeared to be a cryptic message about the show, "Eat Bulaga." He recalled how he said earlier that “Eat Bulaga” is just taking a day off and not signing off. Joey shared that what he meant by that earlier statement is “Take five.” Because of his post, netizens are speculating whether he and the “Eat Bulaga” hosts are moving to TV5.

Joey's partners, Tito and Vic Sotto, also recently met with Atty. Enrique “Buko” Dela Cruz of the famous Divina Law Office. In a photo posted by Atty. Dela Cruz on his social media account, TVJ can be seen posing with the lawyer, along with the caption “isang libo’t isang tuwa, buong bansa.” The caption is taken out of the lyrics of the “Eat Bulaga” theme song, which was composed by Vincent Dy Buncio and Pancho Oppus, with Vic Sotto coming up with the song’s melody. The “Eat Bulaga,” and some of its segments, copyright were among the topics discussed by TitoSen in his recent interview by Julius Babao and Christine Bersola-Babao.
