Dina Bonnevie’s recent birthday party video goes viral: “cakes are to be eaten”

Dina Bonnevie celebrated her 61st birthday yesterday, January 27 and a video from her party has gone viral on social media.

The video uploaded by Astrud Gil S. Lontoc (astrudtv) on TikTok shows Dina receiving two different birthday cakes during the party and giving a message to the waiters who presented the cakes.

With the first waiter, Dina assured him that she will not smear cake on his face.

”Hindi kita papahiran ng cake sa mukha! Thank you,” Dina told the waiter.

For the second birthday cake, Dina said that cakes should be eaten and not be wasted. Dina’s son Oyo Sotto and his wife Kristine Hermosa were seen in the video enjoying the party. Dina’s son-in-law Marc Pingris was spotted in the same clip.

”Cakes are meant to be eaten, not pasted on other people’s faces,” she said.

The actress did not name names but many netizens believe that she took a swipe at Alex Gonzaga, who got heavily bashed online for smearing cake icing on a waiter‘s face.

Netizens also speculated before that Dina was referring to Alex in a video interview years ago about the time when she scolded a young actress for always being late on the set of their show. Dina has not yet confirmed if Alex was the young actress she was referring to or if she was taking a swipe at Alex’s cake fiasco during her recent birthday party.

Dina Bonnevie is a veteran actress who started young in the entertainment industry. She used to be the wife of Kapuso superstar Vic Sotto. Dina and Vic have two children – Oyo Boy and Danica Sotto.

As previously reported by KAMI, Dina Bonnevie was present at the press conference of "Kalye Kweens." At the presscon, Dina was interviewed by Vinia Vivar where the former was asked about Pauleen Luna and Coney Reyes. She then mentioned that Pauleen initially wanted to have the opportunity to talk to her but Vic Sotto's former wife finds it awkward.

Meanwhile, Dina Bonnevie has mourned the passing of one of her dearest friends, Cherie Gil. Last year, on August 5, Annabelle Rama broke the saddening news about Cherie's passing on social media. On her Instagram account, Dina penned a lengthy message about her dear friend, Cherie and the latter's impact on her life.
