Carmi Martin clarified that “Sigabo” is not the show being referred to in a blind item after some online users linked the ABS-CBN series to speculation about a TV program allegedly ending earlier than expected.

The actress left a comment on a Facebook post by Jeff Oli Gar TV, which discussed the blind item as well as the network-war exchanges surrounding the issue.

Instead of joining the speculation, Carmi directly addressed the claim involving the series.

“Hindi po SIGABO ang nasa blind item,” she wrote.

She then made a serious appeal concerning the people whose jobs depend on television productions.

“And let us not wish na mawalan po ng trabaho ang team. Para lang sa intriga. Hindi nyo po gugustuhin sa pamilya ninyo o sa kapwa ninyo na mawalan ng trabaho. Salamat po.”

Pang-Masa also reported Carmi’s clarification on September 9 and reproduced the same comment amid the online speculation involving “Sigabo.”

The blind item had led to different guesses online after it discussed a TV series that would allegedly end earlier than expected. However, the speculation did not amount to an official confirmation that “Sigabo” was the program being referred to.

In fact, ABS-CBN was still actively promoting “Coco Martin’s Sigabo” on September 7. The network shared details about upcoming developments in the series and described it as continuing to air on weeknights. The announcement did not mention an early ending.

Carmi is also part of the ensemble cast of the Coco Martin and Julia Montes-led series. ABS-CBN previously listed her among the cast members who joined the show’s nationwide motorcade before its June 22 premiere.
