Abogado ni Vhong Navarro sa natapos na bail hearing: “I think that we have done enough”

A Taguig court recently held the last hearing on the petition for bail of Vhong Navarro, who is currently detained due to Deniece Cornejo’s lawsuit against him.

In the said hearing on Nov. 10, Deniece appeared before the court to counter the petition while the actor attended the hearing through video conferencing.
According to a video shared by News5’s Bryan Castillo, Vhong’s legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga said they did their best and now pray that the court’s decision would favor them.
“I'm praying. I think that we have done enough but as I said ayaw nating pangunahan 'yung korte. Ang prayer natin is sana kung ano man 'yung gusto nating ipalabas ay makita ng korte.”

The lawyer likewise stressed, “Uulitin ko, hindi ako makapagsabi ng maga-grant ng bail na si Mr. Vhong Navarro. Hindi ko masasabi na confident na confident kami. That is a function that the court has to perform for itself.”
“All I can say, nagtrabaho kami nang lahat. Lahat ng katotohanan ayon sa nangyari,” Atty. Mallonga added.
Vhong is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer, judge, and TV host of ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups. He was part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines. He is one of the pioneer hosts of the noontime variety show, "It's Showtime."
Earlier, Cedric Lee appeared as the prosecution's first witness in the bail hearing over Vhong Navarro's case filed by Deniece Cornejo. It was held in a Taguig City court on Oct. 13.
Deniece Cornejo’s grandfather, Atty. Axel Gonzalez, previously expressed his personal opinion on the model’s lawsuit against Vhong Navarro. Atty. Gonzalez said he believes it would be better if the two parties would just settle their conflict. Cristy Fermin then tackled the statement in the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute." According to the showbiz columnist, Cornejo’s grandfather’s sentiment drew mixed reactions from people.
