Celeste Cortesi reveals she and Jonny Sterling have broken up

Celeste Cortesi confirmed that she and Jonny Sterling are no longer together as she opened up about the current status of their relationship.

During a candid conversation featured in Celeste Unscripted, the beauty queen was asked directly where she and Jonny currently stand.

“Well, we’re broken up right now. You know, we just have to prioritize our baby,” Celeste said.

She stressed that despite what happened between them, she still considers their baby a blessing.

Celeste also admitted that she had been going through several physical and emotional changes during their relationship. She recalled spending months taking medication before later becoming pregnant.

“In my opinion, I spent a lot of months being on a lot of medications and then stopped and then got pregnant right after,” she explained.

According to the beauty queen, those changes may have affected the way she acted and handled certain situations.

“I think I was not, for most part of our relationship, I was not balanced,” she said. “I think that affected a lot my, you know, the way I would behave, the way my mood would be.”

She also expressed regret over some of the things she had said and done, particularly during one difficult moment in their relationship.

Jonny, meanwhile, shared his own side of the breakup.

He revealed that they had been supposed to get engaged during a trip to Amanpulo. According to him, a proposal had already been prepared, with the crew waiting at the beach and everything planned around sunset.

However, their relationship ended before the proposal could happen.

Jonny acknowledged that he had also made mistakes in their relationship. He said there had been times when he ended things too easily, especially during the earlier part of their romance.

He described the situation at the time as an “unsafe, unhealthy environment” and said he eventually decided to step away.

Despite their separation, Celeste made it clear that her main concern now is their child, Sergio.

She said she hopes he will grow up healthy, happy, safe, and well provided for. When asked whether she still loves Jonny, Celeste answered, “Of course.”

The former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder also said she prefers to keep some parts of their relationship private.

“Everything that I wanted to say or he wanted to tell me, we said it in person between the two of us,” she shared.

For Celeste, maintaining a good relationship as parents is more important than thinking about what could happen between them romantically in the future.

“For me, what’s important is still having a good co-parenting relationship with Johnny,” she said. “We’ll see. We’ll just see in the future.”
