According to a report by ABS-CBN, the actress and television host shared the update during an endorsement shoot for an e-commerce platform, where she opened up about how staying active has affected her physically and emotionally. Known as the “Queen of All Media,” Aquino has remained largely away from show business in recent years as she focuses on managing her autoimmune diseases.
“I noticed that when I am active, I am happy. And when I am happy, I noticed health-wise my blood pressure is nicer. Even my skin, I noticed, is better. It really has a lot to do with your attitude,” she said.
Despite her desire to become more active, Aquino emphasized that she continues to work within her physical limitations because her health remains her priority.

She explained that she was able to attend the recent endorsement shoot because her immunosuppressant infusion had been postponed after her white blood cell count became too low for the treatment to proceed.
“The only reason I was able to work with all of you now is na-delay infusion of my immunosuppressant. The third one should have been around this time. But my WBC and basta medical terms — it was too low,” she explained.
Aquino also stressed the importance of finding ways to continue living despite the restrictions brought by her medical condition.
“If that were the case, I won't have a life. I would be stuck in a bubble in my room,” she added.
While she is grateful for opportunities to work, Aquino acknowledged that she continues to experience significant physical discomfort. She revealed that there are days when the pain in her bones makes it difficult for her to even get out of bed.

“There are days I can’t get out of bed because of my bones. It is like your bones are feeling… that thing you are using to crush garlic? That is how it feels. Hina-hammer 'yung buto. Not just the first layer… the inside of your bones,” she said.
Despite the challenges she continues to face, Aquino expressed gratitude to the people who have remained by her side throughout her health journey. She acknowledged the prayers and support of her followers, noting that their concern for her recovery has grown into something deeper than simply being fans.
“I have to say thank you to the people. I think I am the only person who can say millions prayed for me to get better. My journey has been their journey as well,” she said.
Aquino also acknowledged that her condition remains a lifelong battle, with both difficult and better days ahead.
“I need your prayers because this is for life. There are bad days and good days,” she added.
Earlier this year, Aquino made a limited return to the spotlight through promotional videos for Netflix Philippines, where she portrayed the streaming platform’s fictional content head.
