Chito Miranda immediately replied to a netizen who commented and mentioned his wife, Neri Miranda, in his post where he made a clarification on Idol Philippines' top 8 contestants.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman explained why he thinks the said contestants deserve their spots in the competition.

"May gusto lang ako i-clarify. We weren't devastated because of those who made it sa Top 8. They deserve their spot...regardless kung trip mo sila o hindi," the OPM icon penned.

Chito likewise stressed, "They worked sooo hard to get there. They got the scores that they needed from the judges, and the support and votes from their supporters."

“Nag-effort yung mga fans nila para bumoto,” he further said.

However, in the comments section, one netizen penned, “parang si neri lang naman nagreklamo natanggal c nisha.”

To which Chito replied, “nope...madami po. Actually nag-trending si Nisha dahil sa dami ng nalungkot”

Chito Miranda is a famous music artist – the frontman of the iconic OPM band Parokya Ni Edgar. He got married to actress Neri Naig on December 13, 2014 and they have an adorable son named Miggy. In October 2021, Neri gave birth to their second child Manuel Alfonso Miranda, whose nickname is Cash.

Neri Miranda took to Facebook to air her thoughts about the recent elimination from 'Idol Philippines'. Nisha Bedaña and Misha De Leon were the contenders who were recently eliminated from the competition. It is known that Neri's husband, Chito Miranda, is one of the judges on the said reality show. Furthermore, Neri said that she wanted her husband's explanation about Nisha's elimination.

Previously, Neri revealed during her interview on Magandang Buhay that she and her husband have a food supply that could last for years. Neri and Chito have invested in farming their own food so that they can be more independent.
