Jopay Paguia has addressed the persistent reports of tension between her and fellow SexBomb Girls member Rochelle Pangilinan, saying she has chosen not to engage with the issue despite the attention surrounding it.

The speculation intensified after Jopay was unable to join the “Get Get Aw Concert: The Finale” on April 30. The situation eventually fueled questions about whether there was an unresolved rift between members of the group.
During a recent episode of Sen. Imee Marcos’ podcast, Jopay was directly asked whether there was indeed tension among the former SexBomb Girls members.
She acknowledged that people have been aware of the situation for some time but questioned whether it was still worth responding to.

“Hindi naman po talaga maikakaila sa amin at from the start alam naman po ng mga tao ‘yon. Kumbaga, parang ito na lang po ‘yon, e. Papatulan mo pa ba?”
Jopay further explained that she would rather leave the issue alone, particularly because she knows what is true about herself.
“Kung alam mo sa sarili mo ‘yong totoo, huwag mo na lang patulan. Hayaan mo na lang. Siyempre ‘yong mga tao, ang daming sinasaabi. Ganyan, ganyan. Ikaw na lang ang masama.”
Sen. Imee then asked Jopay whether she was surprised when Rochelle eventually broke her silence about the controversy.
“Pero nagulat ka no’ng nagsalita si Rochelle?”
Jopay responded with an emotional reaction before explaining that Rochelle’s statements were not entirely unexpected to her.
“Oh my God, ma'am,”
She then clarified her position toward Rochelle’s side of the story.
“Hindi na po kasi bago sa akin po ‘yon. [...] Pero ang sa akin na lang, I respect na lang po kung ano ‘yong sinabi niya.”
Jopay also addressed the issue surrounding her alleged work ethic. While she did not explicitly agree with Rochelle’s remarks, she maintained that she continues to fulfill her responsibilities.
“Kung work ethic lang po, pilay po ako, wala po ako dito. Kumbaga ginagampanan ko pa rin po,”
