Lolit Solis, in a recent Instagram post, asked her fellow reporters to be sensitive in reporting the value of clothes or jewelry being worn by stars.

She said it’s in bad taste to see stars wearing millions worth of jewelry and clothes while so many people around them were suffering from hunger.
“Salve siguro sa panahon ngayon na ang dami ng naghihirap, mas dapat maging sensitive tayo sa pagbabalita ng mga presyo ng mga damit o alahas ng mga stars,” Manay Lolit said.
“Parang ang sakit sa tenga na marinig na milyon ang suot ng isang star samantalang ang dami ng nagugutom,” the veteran showbiz columnist added.

She also advised against posting photos of foodstuffs on social media because so many people are hungry.
“Ngayon nga kahit photos ng mga kinakain huwag ng ipost, dahil marami ang nagugutom,” she wrote in her post.
The veteran showbiz columnist then asked once again for a bit of sensitivity towards the less fortunate in life.
“Maging sensitive na tayo dahil iba narin ang panahon ngayon,” the columnist wrote
“OO nga at suwerte ng mga maayos ang buhay, pero isipin din natin na dapat huwag na natin ipakita pa ito sa ibang hindi naging masuwerte ang kalagayan. Kung minsan talaga, life is unfair,” Manay Lolit said.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities.
In a recent social media post, Manay Lolit admitted breaking down and cry after receiving a text from Mayor Enrico Roque that he would help in looking for a kidney donor for the columnist. Manay Lolit also revealed that the mayor of Pandi in Bulacan said he’s willing to shoulder the expenses for the operation. The veteran showbiz columnist said that despite the mayor already helping her so much in the past, he is still willing to help her in her need. She said that the Almighty must really love her as He surrounded her with Angels like Mayor Roque.
Previously, she posted a question on her Instagram account about why she continues to live. The veteran columnist then recalled one instance where she had difficulty breathing and so asked why she is still living because after all, she finds it hard to breathe. She then remarked that there are many reasons why a person is alive and that such a person needed to have motivation. Manay Lolit expressed hope that she would continue to have motivation because if that would be gone, she prefers to say goodbye to the world.
