Miranda recently thanked fans who attended Parokya ni Edgar’s show at 12 Monkeys PH last Wednesday. He said he had only just recovered from the performance, but emphasized how much he enjoyed playing at the venue.
“Salamat sa lahat ng nanood sa amin last Wednesday 😊🙏🏼❤️
Ngayon lang ako naka-recover✌🏻😅

Sarap lang talaga tumugtog sa 12 Monkeys Ph eh,” he wrote.
The experience also prompted Miranda to explain why he has remained hesitant about staging a major concert for Parokya ni Edgar.
For him, smaller shows offer something that can be difficult to reproduce in a large-scale production: the opportunity to see the band exactly as it is, without elaborate staging, excessive production elements, or additional attractions.
“Eto yung dahilan kung bakit reluctant ako mag-major concert…kasi makikita mo naman ang Parokya na kumpleto, at our most honest and vulnerable (and basagan) na state, na walang super prod, walang hype, at walang add-ons, kundi ang banda at yung saya na dulot ng raw na tugtugan,” Miranda explained.
His description reflects the appeal he sees in intimate performances, where the focus remains on the members of Parokya ni Edgar and the enjoyment that comes from their straightforward live musicianship.
For Miranda, there is also a sense of freedom that comes from playing a smaller show.
“Walang stress at walang kelangan pag-isipan…rakenrol lang.🤟🏽😎” he added.
While the singer-songwriter acknowledged that there is interest from producers in bringing Parokya ni Edgar to a major concert stage, he admitted that the prospect makes him anxious even before anything has been finalized.
Miranda expressed his gratitude to the producers who continue to believe in the band, but said his hands-on personality could make the process difficult for him.
“PS madami naman po nangungulit sa amin na mga producers na mag-major concert kami (and salamat po talaga sa tiwala sa banda namin), pero ini-isip ko pa lang nase-stress na ko✌🏻😅 masyado akong hands on, baka di ko na ma-enjoy yung pagtugtog mismo sa concert,” he wrote.
His concern, therefore, is not simply about performing before a large audience. Rather, it is also about everything that comes with mounting a major production and how those responsibilities could affect his ability to enjoy the actual performance.
Miranda has long been known for his candid and often humorous personality, and his latest post offered another glimpse into how seriously he takes his role within Parokya ni Edgar. Despite his reluctance toward large productions, he did not completely close the door on the possibility.
Instead, he offered a playful alternative:
“Not unless mag-Inuman Sessions Major Concert kami…hmmm.
Bahala na,” Miranda concluded.
For longtime Parokya ni Edgar followers, that preference may also explain why the band’s smaller performances can feel particularly personal. With fewer production layers separating the musicians from the crowd, the group’s humor, spontaneity, musical chemistry, and unfiltered interactions can take center stage.
Chito Miranda is a Filipino singer, songwriter, and the lead vocalist of Parokya ni Edgar, one of the notable bands in the Philippine OPM scene. KAMI previously featured a lighthearted moment involving Neri Naig and Chito Miranda after Neri posted a video of her husband trying out a viral dance routine at home. According to Neri, Parokya ni Edgar had recently appeared on the same event lineup as the group Baby Dolls in Bulacan, which was something Chito was quick to tell her about. Neri found herself laughing as she watched her husband attempt the popular “Oooh Lala” dance moves, joking that his performance resembled that of a kindergarten student being asked to participate in a dance. She also playfully admitted that Chito could sometimes be annoying, but said his antics consistently provide plenty of laughter in their married life.
In a previous report, Chito Miranda celebrated his wife, Neri Miranda, with a heartfelt birthday greeting. He expressed his affection for her while highlighting qualities he deeply appreciates, including her kindness, thoughtfulness, and strength. Chito also recognized the love Neri continually gives to their family and children. In his message, he conveyed how thankful he was to have Neri by his side and how fortunate he felt about spending the rest of his life with her.
