She then reiterated that they are not paid and that none of them was ever paid.

"Ma’am Hindi ko po hihingin na putulin niyo ang dalawa niyong paa. Respeto lang po sa aming mga boluntaryong nagpeperform para kay VP. Hindi po kami bayaran. Wala po ni isa sa amin ay bayaran."

Elizabeth Oropesa allegedly said that she will have her two legs cut and she would crawl if she, along with celebs who perform at BBM rallies are paid.

Bituin Escalante is a Filipina singer. She is also a host. She gained popularity during the Metropop Song Festival in 2000.

Bituin Escalante took to Twitter and posted a video, where she could be seen calling out politicians who say rally attendees are "bayaran." She then said that isn't it that if they say the attendees are bayaran, they are actually degrading their constituents. The singer then categorically said that they are not paid and that they go to the rallies voluntarily. At the end of her video, she said, "Wala pong bayaran sa mga rally ni Leni. Pumupunta po kami dun nang kusa, para sa bayan."

Bituin Escalante defended her “shady” post about the judges in “Idol Philippines.” She also responded to netizens who commented on her statement. The famous singer used “American Idol” as an example in her latest post.
