Veteran singer Bituin Escalante decided to speak up regarding her controversial statement about the 3 judges in “Idol Philippines.”

KAMI learned that the said artist recently tweeted that only Regine Velasquez would say “yes” to her if she tries to audition in the aforementioned show.

After receiving mixed feedback from netizens, Bituin posted a series of messages in support to her previous statement about the judges in “Idol Philippines.”

She expressed that she was not trying to throw a shade at the other jurors and that her post was merely about “self-awareness.”

The award-winning singer also set as an example what Simon Cowell did in “American Idol” where he “brutally” took down Jennifer Hudson.

“Even American Idol was brutal. Remember Simon Cowell’s painful takedown of Jennifer Hudson? But that’s the nature of the business. It is brutal. And it’s not based solely on raw talent,” she wrote.
