Former child star CJ Ramos has completed the counseling and aftercare program he underwent following his arrest for illegal drúgs, marking what he described as an important step toward rebuilding his life.

CJ shared the update through a Facebook reel posted on Tuesday, September 22. According to the former actor, he completed one and a half years of counseling and aftercare under the Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council (QCADAAC).
He expressed relief upon finishing the program and said he hopes the accomplishment will help resolve his case and clear his record.
“Sobrang sarap po sa pakiramdam dahil natapos ko na. Ito na po ang nagiging solusyon para po matapos na rin ang aking kaso at malinis na po ang record ko para 'pag nag-a-apply po ako ng trabaho o kaya mag-a-abroad po ako, eh, clean na po ang record ng pangalan ko,” said CJ.

CJ also showed the certificate confirming that he had completed the required program. He explained that he would present the document to his probation officer as part of the process of settling his case.
The former child star said his time in counseling gave him a deeper understanding of the effects of illegal drug use. He emphasized that its consequences can extend beyond a person's physical health.
“Talagang nakakasira ito ng buhay ng tao, sa kalusugan at hindi lang 'yun, pati 'yung ating relasyon sa mga tao, sa kaibigan at sa pamilya. Talagang makakasira ang pinagbabawal na gamot,” he said.
Despite the difficulties he experienced, CJ said recovery remains possible for people struggling with addiction. He credited the presence of a strong support system, particularly family and close friends, as an important part of the process.
“Pero ganu'n pa man po, totoo naman na puwede tayong mag-recover sa pagkagumon. Kayang-kaya po 'yan, lalo na kung meron po tayong support system, 'yan ang unang-una, ang ating pamilya, ang ating malalapit na kaibigan, at ito, itong programa ng Quezon City,” CJ shared.
He also used his experience to encourage others who may be facing similar struggles. Rather than allowing their circumstances to discourage them, CJ urged them to believe that they can still move forward.
“Ang paggamit sa pinagbabawal nga gamot, kahit kailanman, hindi po naging solusyon sa ating buhay, sa ating problema. Ang solusyon po, si Lord. Tayo, ang mga mahal natin sa buihay. Siyempre uumpisahan po natin 'yan sa ating sarili. Tama na. Magdesisyon ka ngayon, ngayon din, na tama na. Kaya mo 'yan, kaya natin 'yan. Meron pa tayong mas magandang purpose para sa ating buhay,” he said.
CJ acknowledged that recovery and rebuilding one's life can take time. However, he said the process can eventually lead to better decisions and a clearer perspective.
“Mas aayos po ang buhay natin, mas makakapagdesisyon po tayo ng tama, makakaharap po tayo sa mga tao ng walang alinlangan o walang ilang, at lilinaw po ang ating pananaw sa buhay,” he explained.
The former actor also addressed fellow individuals who are currently going through recovery, congratulating them and encouraging them to keep going.
“Sa mga nagre-recover din po diyan katulad ko, congrats and pagpatuloy lang po natin ito. Recovery is possible,” CJ said.
CJ's latest update comes years after his arrest in 2018 during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City, where authorities reportedly recovered illegal drúgs from him.
Now that he has completed the counseling and aftercare program, CJ is looking ahead to what he hopes will be a more stable chapter of his life. His message focused on recovery, the importance of support, and the possibility of finding a better direction after experiencing difficult circumstances.
CJ Ramos is a Filipino actor who began his career as a child star in the 1990s as a member of the popular youth-oriented group Ang TV.
