The veteran actress, who is known to be very close to Barbie, revealed that the young actress would often ask for her advice.
In an article published at PikaPika, Ara talked at length the issue about the alleged physical altercation between Barbie and Diego.
“Well naririnig-rinig ko pero pag ano naman yan, pag may problema naman yan pag di na niya kayang i-handle she calls me asking me for an advice,” the veteran actress said.

Ara then said she doesn’t believe Diego can hurt Barbie in the physical sense.
“Hindi, hindi, hindi. Diyos ko naman, lahat naman ng p’wedeng ibato, p’wedeng ibato...pero unless ’yong tao mismo ang magsalita diba? I mean si Barbie or si ano Diego. ’Yong ganu’n,” Ara said.
She also revealed that in the past, she would always advise Barbie to do what is right when it comes to her relationship with Diego.
“I always tell her na do what is right and lalo na kasi mahirap pag pareho kayong nasa showbiz ni Diego Loyzaga. S’yempre I’ve been there. Nagkaroon na rin ako ng relationship na taga-showbiz. Ina-advice ko siya kung ano ang dapat n’yang gawin,” Ara revealed.
The veteran actress also said that she would often tell Barbie not to mind the rumors and to react only if talks were already foul.
“Sabi ko, wag nang pansinin or as long na hindi pa naman naapektuhan ’yong family. And ano, s’yempre pag medyo sagad na, below the belt na, and sobrang foul na to the point na maapektuhan na ’yong pamilya mo and everything, ayon doon ka na lang lumaban,” she said.
Ara also explained that she is aware of the latest issues about Barbie but she doesn’t ask her about it.
She would just ask the young actress if she’s okay and Ara would always hear Barbie say that she’s okay.
Barbie was among the first to get excited about the wedding of Ara and Dave Almarinez.
In an article published on Push last January of this year, Barbie excitedly gushed that her "Ate Ara" will finally tie the knot with Dave.
During the wedding, the closeness of Ara and Barbie became more evident when, in a report published by GMA Network, the young actress became one of the bridesmaids of Ara.

Several weeks ago, Ara shared her unpleasant experience with a restaurant that made her wait for her takeaway order for two hours. The actress has just finished her pictorial and saved for her breakfast at 7:30 a.m. that day, she wasn’t able to grab a bite until the pictorial ended around three in the afternoon.
