Rita Avila took to her Instagram Stories and took a swipe at the news that presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos allegedly has not obtained a degree from the prestigious Oxford University.

An official statement from Oxford Philippines Society, as reported by Inquirer, indicated that BBM did not receive a degree from the said university.
The news was also reported by GMA News and the veteran actress reposted the article and added her own comment.
"Hala. This is embarrassing for a supposedly decent son of the late President."

Rita Avila, or Josefina Pascual Yasto in real life, is a Filipina actress and author. She wrote a book called "8 Ways to Comfort with Grace" which centers on her sad moments when she and her husband lost their three-week-old son.
Rita Avila took to Instagram to air her thoughts on the recent statements of Mayor Isko Moreno against VP Leni Robredo. She reposted a quote card of Mayor Isko and included her own caption beneath it. The veteran actress told Mayor Isko that if he could not understand what VP Leni was saying, then it may be a signal that he could not lead the Philippines. She also urged Isko to listen to what VP Leni is saying so that he would be able to deepen his understanding.
On her Instagram page, she humbly described herself and stated why she has been vocal with her views. She likewise revealed people’s reactions to her posts showing support for Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid. Although there are netizens who are happy with her stand, she shared that there are still ones who are fuming over her posts.
