Jeremiah Rosales has opened up about the circumstances that led him to suddenly leave his home and spend more than a month away from his family.

In an interview with Julius Babao, Jeremiah explained that he left after realizing that his family was considering sending him back to a rehabilitation center.

He clarified that he did not simply intend to disappear. At the time, he felt that he needed to distance himself and reflect on the problems he was facing.

"One month akong nag-isolate para sa betterment of my family kasi talagang hindi madali eh," he said.

Jeremiah shared that he initially stayed around Manila before seeking help from a friend. He was eventually able to travel to Bicol, where some of his relatives live.

According to him, he left without his phone and had very little with him.

While in Bicol, the former actor looked for ways to support himself. A relative later helped him find work as a construction laborer.

He said he earned P560 a day and performed physically demanding tasks at the construction site. The experience gave him a new perspective on how hard many workers labor just to provide for their families.

Jeremiah also admitted during the interview that he had struggled again with old habits before leaving home. He acknowledged that this contributed to the problems within his family.

His time in Bicol, however, became an opportunity for reflection.

He said seeing people work hard despite earning modest amounts made him reconsider his priorities. He eventually decided that he wanted to return to his wife and children and try to rebuild his life.

"Aayusin ko yung buhay ko," he recalled telling himself.

Jeremiah said he later went home and apologized to his wife. Their reconciliation, however, remains a process.

"It's a work in progress," he said, acknowledging that rebuilding trust would take time.

He also apologized to Jericho for once again causing him concern. Jeremiah said he understood why his older brother had become cautious after the problems they had faced.

One of Jeremiah's children also shared that Jericho continues to show concern for their family and has offered support, including the possibility of therapy.

Toward the end of the interview, Jeremiah avoided making another sweeping promise and instead said he wanted his actions to show whether he could truly change.
