Claudine Barretto took to Instagram to issue a stern warning alongside formal legal documents served to veteran showbiz hosts Cristy Fermin and Rommel "Chika" Villamor.

Posting photos of the demand letter dated October 18, 2026, prepared by Cañero, Manalo, Mateo & Partners Law Office, the actress captioned the post with two sharp words: "Lawyer up."

The legal document, officially titled "Final Demand to Cease and Desist," cited recent video content posted on the hosts' online platform targeting Claudine:

"We write on behalf of our client, CLAUDINE MARGARET CASTELO BARRETTO, and in relation to the above-captioned subject matter. A recent video in your YouTube profile was uploaded regarding our client with remarks that are untruthful, scandalous, and damaging to our client's reputation."

Her legal team stressed that making defamatory statements carries serious legal consequences under Philippine laws:

"In this regard, we strongly emphasize that under existing laws and regulations, your acts enumerated above expose you to possible criminal and civil liabilities for damages, among other violations. Please be aware that our client is willing and ready to institute proceedings to protect her and her rights and will not hesitate to pursue all legal remedies which are available to her, should it become necessary."

Because of the alleged damage caused to Claudine, her lawyers issued an immediate demand to halt all further commentary of that nature:

"Accordingly, on our client's behalf, we hereby make a formal and final notice of demand that you CEASE AND DESIST from further harassing our client, and making untruthful, scandalous, and damaging remarks regarding her."

Signed by her legal counsel, Atty. Lance Abrahim M. Mateo, the letter closed with a strict deadline for both Fermin and Villamor to follow the directives without delay.

This legal move comes shortly after Claudine took to Facebook to dispel false talk regarding her mental health diagnoses and finances, firmly defending her dignity and personal truth.
