The podcast has been facing backlash over comments about Josh, prompting several personalities to speak out against the remarks. On Thursday, October 15, Karen took to X to share her thoughts on the controversy, criticizing the nature of the discussion and the platform that allowed it.
Karen described the remarks as inappropriate and harmful, stressing that such conversations should not be given a platform in today's society.
She wrote, "This is the kind of extremely stupid, ableist and uninformed level of banter that should not be given any kind of airtime or platform in today’s world.

It is also a crime. Under Republic Act No. 9442 engaging in the 'public ridicule' or 'vilification' of a Person with Disability (PWD) is a criminal offense."
The journalist also called out the people involved in the podcast, expressing her disgust over the incident. She further criticized the show's title and urged those responsible to acknowledge the harm caused by their remarks.
"Shame on all of you. You make me sick to my stomach. The title of the show itself was misogynistic in nature.
Apologize to every parent and every neurodivergent child."
In another post, Karen shared a photo of herself with her son David and Josh, recalling that the two young men had known each other since childhood. David also has special needs, making Karen's message about their experiences particularly personal.
Karen explained that David and Josh are almost the same age and that they recently crossed paths again. She expressed her appreciation for the young man Josh has grown up to be, writing:
"My son David & Josh are almost the same age. They knew each other as kids. We bumped into Josh recently and he has grown to become one of the kindest and sweetest of humans."
Karen also shared a heartfelt reflection on how children on the autism spectrum see the world, emphasizing their innocence, love, and ability to recognize the good in others. She mentioned both David and Josh in her message, highlighting the positive outlook they share.
"Thank God kids in the spectrum - like David & Josh - only see the world with purity, innocence and love. They always see the best in everything and everyone.
Kung ang puso natin sana ay maging tulad nila."
Through her posts, Karen underscored the importance of treating neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities with dignity and respect. Her message also served as a reminder that public discussions should never come at the expense of another person's humanity.
