The Kapuso actress shared the experience during the “Deep Truth” segment of Gandang Gabi Vice. What began as a trip with a female friend eventually led to a hospital stay and her father flying out to be with her.

Vice Ganda asked the actress to clarify the situation, particularly since the two had left for the trip together.

“So ibig sabihin, kayong magkasamang umalis. Tapos noong may nangyari sa iyo, hindi ka inaalagaan? Bakit daw?” the host asked.
“Hindi. Hindi ko rin alam,” she replied.

Her brief response left the reason for her companion’s behavior unexplained. The account provided no explanation from the former friend, so her side of the incident remains unclear.

Meanwhile, the family acted after learning about the hospitalization. Zoren booked a flight to join his daughter and make sure someone was there to care for her.

The actor also explained that allowing Cassy to take the trip had not been an easy decision for them. It was among the first times they had permitted her to travel without them, despite their initial hesitation.

“Nalaman namin na-ospital, walang nag-aalaga sa kanya dahil solo flight, e. Isa sa mga first time na pinayagan (namin) kahit ayaw namin,” he said.

By the time her father arrived at the hospital, the friend was no longer there. He explained that his daughter had already asked her companion to go home because she no longer wanted to see her.

That detail clarified why the former friend was absent when he arrived. Cassy’s account centered on the lack of care during her hospitalization, while her father explained that she later decided to send the companion home.

The actress eventually stopped talking to her former friend and chose to unfriend her. She did not offer a reason for why her companion had failed to look after her.

Her disclosure followed another “Deep Truth” statement from her twin brother, Mavy, who spoke about a separate experience involving a director who allegedly embarrassed him over a misunderstanding.

In another report, Mavy Legaspi recalled an alleged incident during the filming of his first television series when he was just 17. He said a director reprimanded and embarrassed him after misinterpreting his joke about going for a swim when rain interrupted a pool scene. Mavy clarified that his comment was not aimed at another actor and shared that he chose to deal with the situation himself.

Meanwhile, Mavy Legaspi shared that he and his twin sister, Cassy, grew up in a household that taught them to respect people regardless of gender expression. During an appearance on GMA’s “Gandang Gabi Vice,” he said he would not be bothered by seeing his father, Zoren Legaspi, dressed as a woman because their family was not raised to be homophobic or sexist.
