During an interview on GTV’s “Chika Cart,” the actress was asked whom she had spoken to first after learning about the separation. She identified her older brother, while also explaining that she did not want to press Barbie for details.
The conversation touched on a situation that involved two people close to her. Jak is her sibling, while Barbie was also her colleague in the historical drama “Pulang Araw.”
Sanya recalled that she and her fellow actress had opportunities to talk on set. Even so, she said she had no idea about the breakup while they were working together.

Looking back, she praised Barbie for how she carried herself at work. According to her account, their work on the series had already ended when she learned that the pair were no longer together.
The news saddened her. However, she explained that being affected by the separation did not mean she would ask either of them to explain everything.
For the star, respecting Barbie’s side also meant allowing her to decide whether she wanted to talk. She described herself as someone who would listen when another person chose to open up.
Rather than asking what happened or why things turned out that way, she preferred to wait. She would offer advice if it was needed.
Asked about her connection with Barbie after the breakup, Sanya recalled reaching out following the premiere of “Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.”
The actress said Barbie attended the event, prompting her to send a message of appreciation afterward.
“Thank you for coming and supporting our film,” she recalled telling her.
