During the interview, Boy Abunda opened a sensitive topic by asking Claudine what she misses most about her mother. The question immediately led Claudine to reflect on the quiet, everyday moments that continue to feel the absence of her mother.
“What do you miss most about mom?” Boy asked.
In her response, Claudine shared how grief often surfaces in ordinary routines, particularly in moments when instinct makes her reach for someone who is no longer there. She described how even simple habits can suddenly bring the realization of loss.

“Alam mo 'yung may times na may gusto kang ikuwento, then you reach for your phone, tapos, [mare-realize ko,] 'Ay, wala na pala akong tatawagan.' Habit. That happens to me all the time.”
Claudine then shifted to a broader reflection on family, using the moment to emphasize the importance of valuing parents while they are still present. She spoke about how easily people can take these relationships for granted, and how deeply she now understands the role of a mother in a family.
“And we were talking earlier, habang may mga magulang pa kayo, please, mahalin niyo ang magulang n'yo lalo na ang nanay niyo. Hindi niyo alam kung gaano kaimportante ang nanay sa pamilya. 'Di ba? Make your nanay proud.”
She added that when she looks back on her life, one of her personal points of pride is how she treated her parents, stressing the importance of being a good daughter.
“And if meron man akong takeaway or maipagmamalaki sa buhay ko, naging mabuti akong anak sa parents ko.”
Boy responded by affirming Claudine’s character as a daughter and recalling their earlier conversation before the interview aired. He emphasized that while she may be subject to criticism in other areas, her role within her family is something that should never be questioned.
“Alam mo, when we were talking about your guestings today, sinabi ko 'yon sa kanilang lahat. I told them, sabi ko, 'Puwede niyong puntusan si Claudine sa kahit anong bagay, pero hindi sa pagiging anak,'” Boy said.
