Ivana Alawi explained why her team’s relief truck stopped in a flooded area while they were delivering aid to residents.

The actress-vlogger addressed the matter after some people questioned why the vehicle did not stop on dry ground. The concern appeared in the comment section of a Facebook reel showing their ongoing relief effort.
Ivana responded by explaining that the flooded location was not deliberately chosen as a distribution point.
“Sa mga nagkakalat ng hate dahil bakit hindi sa tuyong area tumigil, Sana alamin niyo din kung bakit nandoon sa gitna ng baha ang truck natin,” she wrote.

According to the content creator, the truck experienced mechanical trouble and could no longer move by the afternoon.
“Nasiraan ito at hindi na maka andar ng bandang hapon,” she added.
Her team reportedly tried to fix the vehicle so they could transfer to another location. However, some residents had already begun forming a line near the truck while the repairs were being done.
“Kaya habang sinusubukan naming ayusin para lumipat sa ibang area, may mga biglang pumila at nag stop din kung saan tumirik,” Ivana explained.
The celebrity also clarified why members of her team were later seen returning to the same flooded spot.
She said they had to go back to the stalled truck to collect more relief goods. Those supplies were then brought to residents in other areas.
“Bumabalik lang din kami sa area kung san natigil ang truck namin para makahakot din ng relief goods para madala sa ibang area,” she stated.

Her explanation showed that the team continued its operation despite the vehicle problem. They worked around the situation so the available supplies could still reach other communities.
Before the distribution, Ivana had shared footage of relief goods being prepared for Filipinos affected by the flooding. She also called on the public to continue paying attention to questions surrounding flood-control projects.
