Boom Labrusca called out body-shaming remarks after sharing a screenshot of insulting comments directed at a woman on social media.

In a Facebook post, the actor reacted to messages that focused on the woman’s body and outfit. The screenshot showed her holding a microphone onstage while several users made harsh remarks about her physical appearance.

Boom opened his post with the words, “Socmed LALA.” He then shared his observation about how some online discussions quickly become personal when people can no longer support their arguments.

“Most of the time , pag di kaya ng Arguemento lalaitin kana lang , hanggang dun na lng talaga eh,” he wrote.

Although Boom used laughing emojis and a light tone, his main point was serious. He suggested that personal attacks often replace meaningful discussion when a person no longer has a strong response.

Rather than adding more insults to the conversation, the actor encouraged social media users to support other people’s achievements. He said being happy for someone else feels lighter than tearing that person down.

“Dapat mga boss matuto na lang tayong pumalakpak sa tagumpay ng iba , maging masaya para sa kanila mas magaan yun,” he said.

Boom also connected the reminder to the way people may want to be treated when their own time to succeed arrives. For him, offering support now could encourage others to return the same kindness later.

He added, “para pag ikot at ikaw naman ‘when it’s your turn’ maging ganun din sila para sayo.”

Toward the end of his message, the celebrity pointed out another detail that stood out to him. He noticed that the insulting remarks in the screenshot appeared to be written mostly by women and were aimed at another woman.

In another response, the actor referred to Regine as the Songbird. He described her as one of the country’s gems while expressing disappointment over the negative side of social media.
