"For us during the pandemic that's when we realized na, I mean it's not the trajectory that we wanted to continue on. We actually work better as friends. Especially during the pandemic, I realized you only live one life, hindi mo alam kung anong mangyayari bukas and it's like if you are not happy how can you give your best to your child. And I couldn't give my best to my child at that time. So, now that we are separated, I can say we both can give our one hundred percent to our son."
Max also shared how she answered Skye when he previously asked about their separate living setup. To help her son understand even better, Max framed the situation with warmth and positivity for Skye as well:
"And I explained to him, 'Isn't it cool you have two houses? Other people only have one. You have two families that super love you. You have two of everything and then he kinda has a different perspective of it now kasi hindi naman niya nakita na magkasama kami as a unit eh, so for him he thinks it's cool also he has two of everything."
Viewers praised Max for her maturity, emotional clarity, and dedication to ensuring Skye grows up feeling completely cherished and secure.
