Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about the emotional toll of being away from his family while fulfilling his band duties on the road.

Alongside a throwback photo of himself with his wife Neri, their kids, and “Ninang,” Chito expressed his gratitude for the band’s packed schedule but admitted how much he misses home. “Namimiss ko pamilya ko. Sobrang thankful ako na tuluy-tuloy ang gigs ng Parokya…pero namimiss ko talaga sila,” he wrote. He added that even during his brief days off, he couldn’t maximize time with his loved ones due to errands and much-needed rest.

The singer also shared feeling irritable and overwhelmed from his responsibilities, saying, “Tapos medyo masungit pa ko kasi nga ang dami kong kelangang ayusin at tapusin. Ngayon, paalis na naman ako, and I feel guilty.” Despite his dedication to his music, Miranda admitted he’s always eager to return home: “Excited na ko umuwi. Sa ngayon, kelangan ko muna mag-rakenrol.”

He explained why he chose to post this particular photo: “Ginamit ko ’tong lumang pic na ’to kasi kumpleto kami (including Ninang)… and higit sa lahat, ang ganda ng kuha namin dito.” His candid post touched many fans, who praised him for his honesty and his clear devotion to both family and music.

Chito Miranda is a Filipino singer-songwriter best known as the founding member and lead vocalist of the rock band Parokya ni Edgar. The band, formed in 1993, is renowned for its blend of alternative rock, pop rock, and comedy rock, and has been a significant presence in the Philippine music scene. Beyond his work with Parokya ni Edgar, Chito has collaborated with various artists, including Gloc-9, Rico Blanco, and Ben&Ben. He also has appeared as a judge on television talent shows like Idol Philippines. In 2014, Chito Miranda married actress Neri Naig. The couple has since been active in various business ventures.

Earlier, Chito posted a video that Nice Print took from their renewal of wedding vows. Both in tears, Chito and Neri exchanged heartfelt messages for one another. According to the singer, despite their celebration being delayed, it still pushed through.

Meanwhile, Chito Miranda showcased the new and improved Miranda’s Rest House, featuring the newly opened Neri’s Secret Garden, a 6,000-square-meter space designed for weddings, proposals, prenup shoots, and other special events. The garden includes a grand amphitheater, Neri’s Catio, Chito’s Camper, a wide garden, and two beautiful villas for staycations or pictorials as well.
