After completing chemotherapy and her active treatments in 2025, Cesca continues to undergo hormone therapy. She explained that she needs the treatment for five years because her type of breast cancer is affected by estrogen.
Speaking with GMA Network and other entertainment media during the launch of Marie France's “Go Lose Pounds” campaign on September 26, the former TV personality explained how the therapy works.
“So basically, I'm on hormone therapy to kill the estrogen production in my body,” she said.

However, the treatment also brought about medically induced menopause, which Cesca admitted has not been easy.
Among the symptoms she mentioned were brain fog, muscle pain, and depression.
The experience also pushed Cesca to become more serious about strength training. She said the accelerated menopause caused by her treatment also increased concerns about osteoporosis.
Because of this, the personality has been working on building muscle and improving her overall strength.
Cesca recently reached personal milestones in her fitness journey. She shared that she was able to lift her own body weight in a trap bar deadlift in July and later managed to lift even more.
For her, becoming physically stronger carries a deeper meaning after experiencing how cancer treatment affected her body.
“When you go through chemotherapy, when you feel your body breaking down, that you don't ever want to feel that weak ever again,” she said.
Cesca also shared that her cancer journey taught her to focus on what she can still control.
“The things I can control, I will do them,” she said.
She added that her priorities now include taking care of her health, continuing strength training, and enjoying the life she believes God has given her.
Despite completing major parts of her treatment, Cesca clarified that she does not yet describe herself as cancer-free.
She explained that reaching five years with no evidence of disease would be an important milestone before she can describe herself as being cancer-free and in remission.
Her earlier updates also showed that she completed six chemotherapy cycles before moving on to hormonal treatment and continued monitoring.
Aside from Cesca Litton, there have been other public figures and celebrities who made the news due to cancer.
Recently, Kenneth Earl Medrano shared an encouraging update as he continues his treatment for testicular cancer. The former actor posted photos of himself inside a medical facility while nearing the end of his second chemotherapy cycle. In his Instagram post, Kenneth could be seen smiling despite the challenges that have come with his treatment.
Meanwhile, Kaye Abad shared that while many people believe the hardest part ends after being declared cancer-free, she has found that survivorship comes with a different kind of fear. In an interview featured by ABS-CBN, the actress spoke honestly about living with the possibility that breast cancer could return. According to Kaye, she now feels more anxious than she did during treatment because she continues to undergo regular scans every few months.
