In an interview featured by ABS-CBN, the actress spoke honestly about living with the possibility that breast cancer could return.

According to Kaye, she now feels more anxious than she did during treatment because she continues to undergo regular scans every few months.

"Pag dineclare na na you're a survivor, parang tapos na, natanggal na, the journey doesn't end there. Actually, mas ngayon ko na-feel na parang mas takot ako ngayon."

She explained that doctors continue to monitor survivors because dormant cancer cells may still remain in the body.

"Mas takot ako ngayon."

Despite those fears, the actress said quitting was never an option because she wanted to be with her children as they grew up.

"Not an option, because again, I want to see my children grow."

Kaye recalled becoming emotional whenever she watched her sons perform at school. She admitted that painful thoughts would sometimes cross her mind, but she quickly pushed them away.

The actress also shared that her sons became her greatest motivation throughout her treatment.

"I still want to see my kids grow. I want to be there."

Aside from her family, Kaye credited her faith for giving her strength during her most difficult moments. She revealed that she often prayed alone in the restroom because it was one of the few places where she could freely talk to God.

Her prayers were simple but heartfelt.

"Please, I'm very happy with my life right now. I'm very content. Please don't take me away. I want to see my kids grow."

Even while hoping to recover, Kaye said she was prepared to accept whatever God had planned for her.

"If I don't make it, I will accept, kung 'yun 'yung plano niya sa buhay ko. But then, I wanted to live. So I will do my part."

She also remembered the moment a doctor informed her that surgery was no longer an option because the cancer had already spread to her liver and underarm. Although she initially broke down, she soon felt a sense of peace.

"Parang biglang pina-feel sa akin na don't worry, 'I'm here, I will take care of you.'"

Throughout her treatment, Kaye remained devoted to St. Rita, Santo Niño, and Padre Pio. She said her experience strengthened her faith even more.

"Relihiyosa ako, pero ngayon mas grabe ako naging relihiyosa. Naniniwala talaga ako na nandyan Siya."

Looking back, the actress said she was surprised by the courage she found despite admitting that she had always been fearful."Binigyan Niya ako ng tapang para lumaban."

"Just trust the Lord, don't question. Kung ano man ang plano niya, just trust Him. Wala naman siyang ibibigay na hindi natin kaya."
