“October 1 🤍 not the prettiest version of me but here it is,” she wrote.

She then opened up about the experience of carrying her baby, whom she affectionately calls “baby S.”

“9 months of carrying baby S. Only few people know the most vulnerable side of me - the parts I rarely show,” Celeste shared.

Rather than presenting pregnancy as an entirely joyful experience, Celeste described it as a period that tested her emotionally and mentally.

“Pregnancy has been one of the most challenging and humbling experiences I had to go through emotionally and mentally,” she said.

The beauty queen revealed that her mental health reached what she described as its lowest point during the pregnancy.

“I experienced my mental health at its lowest and many were the days where I thought ‘I can’t do this’,” Celeste wrote.

She said she experienced a range of difficult emotions, including sadness, despair, anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

“I felt sadness, despair, anxiety, depression and at times, an overwhelming sense of loneliness - all while fighting in trying to stay healthy, take care of myself, facing challenges and balance my hormones - something I definitely underestimated,” she explained.

Celeste also said the physical and emotional changes manifested in different ways, affecting her skin, mood, and body.

“Everything manifested in my skin, my mood, and my body,” she wrote.

She admitted that there were moments when she struggled to recognize herself.

“I saw a version of me I could barely recognize and some days I struggled to look at myself and feel like me,” Celeste said.

Despite those difficulties, the beauty queen said her experience gave her a much deeper appreciation for mothers and the challenges they face.

“I have such deep respect for all moms out there,” she wrote.

Celeste encouraged mothers who may be going through their own struggles, reminding them that difficult periods do not diminish their strength.

“And just know that whatever challenge you may be facing you are strong and you can get through anything,” she added.

For Celeste, one thought consistently helped bring her back whenever the emotional weight became overwhelming: her baby.

She said remembering what her body was doing for her child gave her a source of strength and perspective.

“Because through all of it, the only thought that could always bring me back was the amazing work my body was doing in growing, nourishing and protecting baby S,” she wrote.

The experience also helped Celeste discover an inner strength she did not know she possessed.

“I discovered a strength within myself I never knew I had,” she said.

She reflected on the way both she and her baby had been growing throughout the pregnancy.

“Baby S has been growing inside me while, in so many ways, I have been growing too,” Celeste wrote.

She then expressed the profound emotional connection she feels with her unborn child.

“9 months of carrying you, and somehow you carried me too. 🩵”
