Veteran TV host Amy Perez suddenly became emotional in the middle of hosting Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of the noontime show, “It’s Showtime.”

KAMI learned that the Kapamilya celebrity cried upon interviewing a daily contender who has a very heartbreaking story about his father.

The TNT contestant shared on air that he is looking for his Japanese father whom he was never given a chance to see.

After being noticed crying, Tiyang Amy expressed that she just understood the difficult situation of the aspiring singer.

However, she advised that there are things which are hard to be explained and they just need to be accepted exactly the way they are.

The former Face to Face host also said that the 18-year-old aspiring singer must never lose hope because there might be a time one day when he will finally see his father.

“Gusto ko maging matibay ka, gusto ko maging malakas ka, at gusto kong gawin mo lahat ng gusto mong gawin sa buhay,” she quipped.

“At wag mong iisiping hindi ka kumpleto dahil wala kanga ma. AT hindi lang ikaw ang nasa ganyang sitwasyon… Basta ang importante maging mabuti kang tao,” she added.
