- TikTok star and social media influencer Hazel Edep finally narrated her version of the story on the issue of the alleged extortion attempt of tricycle driver Angelito Martin who found her mobile phone
- Earlier, Lea Martin, the wife of Angelito, said that they never asked Hazel for some money in exchange for her mobile phone, an iPhone 12 Pro Max
- She said it was the social media influencer herself who offered them 7K as reward for the return of her phone
- Hazel, however, claimed that it was the group of Angelito who asked for 50K reward for her phone
Social media influencer Hazel Edep finally gave her version of the events that transpired that led to the arrest of tricycle driver Angelito Martin for allegedly attempting to extort money from her.
According to Hazel, someone from Angelito’s group told the influencer that she should offer a reward to the person who found her phone.
Hazel said she could not identify the person who kept on giving her instructions through a text message sent to her boyfriend’s phone while she was talking to the person who found her phone.
Following the instructions on the text message, she offered 7K cash reward but then the person she was talking to allegedly said that it’s too small as her iPhone 12 Pro Max is valued around 100K and her cash reward offer should at least be 50K.
The social media influencer, after negotiating with the person at the other end of the line, then agreed to bring the money to a place they designated.
At this point, however, she saw it best to report the incident to the PNP’s CIDG, who then planned an entrapment operation.
A CIDG operative, who pretended to be Hazel’s boyfriend, accompanied her and was present during the alleged handover of the phone.
The CIDG team immediately descended upon the group and promptly arrested tricycle driver Angelito Martin, who was with his wife at the time.

Save for the fact that she is known as a TikTok celebrity, little is known about Hazel Edep, the social media influencer who is now in the center of a controversy involving her cellphone and the alleged extortion attempt on her. There is no available information online about her age and other personal details.
Earlier, the family and friends of tricycle driver Angelito Martin sought the help of Mr. Raffy Tulfo against the accusations hurled by Hazel. At the moment, Angelito is languishing in jail after CIDG personnel arrested him allegedly for the crime of extortion. The two camps are now waiting for the schedule of their lie detector test, the results of which would be made by Raffy as his basis on who to help.
This is not the first time that Raffy and his program, Raffy Tulfo in Action or RTIA, has become a forum for social media influencers to air their grievances against someone. In January of last year, popular TikTok celebrity and social media influencer, Arlene “Leng” Altura, went to RTIA to complain against fellow influencer, Mark Jayson Warnakulahewa, more popularly known as “Makagago.” Known for dissing famous people, “Makagago” trained his guns on Leng, which she claimed was an attack that is already below the belt. Like many other instances, Raffy tried to settle the issue between the two.
