During an episode of the new season of Gandang Gabi Vice, Ralph was asked to give his “Deep Truth” statement, leading to an unexpected claim about AZ.
"Niligawan ko si AZ pero nireject ako," he said.

The statement immediately caught the attention of Vice Ganda and the audience, prompting questions about whether Ralph had genuinely pursued the actress romantically.
Vice Ganda then asked his Geng Gang member Vince Maristela whether the Kapamilya star had really courted the Kapuso actress.
Vince shared his thoughts about Ralph's actions toward AZ.
"Ako, hindi ko aakbayan 'yung isang babae kung wala akong gusto."
Vince then admitted that he believed Ralph had indeed pursued AZ, although he was not convinced that the actor had actually been rejected.
"Feeling ko, niligawan niya si AZ pero hindi ako naniniwala na rineject siya, e. Kasi 'yung charm niya, secured siya, napa-confident."
Vice Ganda also agreed that there was a possibility Ralph had courted AZ, but like Vince, he found it difficult to believe that the actor had been turned down.
The seemingly serious revelation eventually took a humorous turn when it was clarified that Ralph's “Deep Truth” statement was actually a joke.
Ralph himself admitted that the claim was only “charot.”
"Meme, ang deep statement ko ay... charot."
He then explained why AZ remains important to him despite the romantic speculation surrounding them.
"Dahil very special friend ko talaga si AZ. Tsaka 'yung ano naman doon, wala naman rejection ang naganap."
His clarification only prompted another teasing remark from Vice Ganda.
"Walang rejection? So sinagot ka," Vice quipped.
The remark caused the audience to erupt in excitement, while Ralph simply responded with a playful shrug.
Verna Periwinkle further added to the teasing by describing the situation as “Ongoing.”
Vice then summed up the situation with another playful remark.
"Basta walang rejection," he said.
