Many people may be wondering why Yakult does not come in big bottles and only come in small ones.
A netizen, Roseller Kempis, to satisfy an inquisitive mind, reached out to Yakult and asked the question.
Yakult said that the primary reason was that it needs to be consumed in a single sitting and that it carries live culture that can be prone to contamination if not consumed immediately.
"Bata pa ako noon mula ngayon di ko pa rin po alam ang sagot. Bakit po ba walang malaking size ng yakult?" asked Roseller.
"Yakult avoids creating bigger bottles for the reason that Yakult must be consumed in one sitting. The products carry live culture that will be prone to contamination once it's not consumed at once. Having a bigger Yakult will make it prone to contamination by frequent opening and closing of the lid."
Yakult further explained what each bottle contained.
"You will also be glad to know that we use an 80ml bottle that contains just the right amount and sufficient good bacteria (8 billion live lactobacillus casei strain Shirota) to keep the balance of the gut and help improve digestion."
