VP Leni Robredo releases statement on Ukraine-Russia conflict

- The Philippines has voted Yes to the UN General Assembly resolution, which called for an end on the hostilities against Ukraine

The Office of the Vice President released its official statement on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
"I condemn the violence that has been inflicted upon the people of Ukraine, the violation of its sovereignty, and the threat that now hangs above all the innocent lives in the region. I am grateful to diplomats and other public servants who are working to secure the safety of Filipinos still in Ukraine," the statement said.
Amid all these, VP Leni gained some endorsement from politicians. Gov. Dan Fernando of Bulacan was one of them.

"Bilang sambayanang Bulakenyo na naging tahanan ng unang malayang republika ng Asya, hilingin nating lahat ng tulong at gabay ng Diyos na sa ating henerasyon. Nawa’y mapagkalooban tayo ng isang mabuting pinuno na taus-pusong kakalinga sa ating mga kababayan," Fernando said.
VP Leni Robredo is the incumbent vice president of the Philippines. She is a human rights lawyer. Her husband was the late DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo. They have three daughters.
VP Leni Robredo took to Twitter and personally thanked the wife of the driver of the motorcyle who brought her to the grand rally in Cavite. Replying to the tweet of Kristine Danica Mariano, she even said sorry for having used their motorcycle, as it was brought about by such great need. She then reiterated her thanks and told Kristine to tell her husband, Sherwin, that she says thank you for bringing her safely to the venue. In response, Kristine thanked VP profusely and even said that it was an honor for them to be of service to VP.
The wife of the driver of the motorcycle, which VP Leni rode going to the Cavite grand rally took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the event. She said that her husband is still feeling "kilig" and she was also quite anxious that their motorcycle was dirty. "Nakakahiya," she mentioned, perhaps thinking had they known VP Leni will ride it, they could have cleaned it up. Nonetheless, she really thanked VP for the honor of having used their motorcycle .
